It’s International Babywearing Week and we’re all big babywearers at BG, so I thought I’d share a few of my favourite slings and carriers. Babywearing has so many benefits for you (convenience, bonding, comfort) and your baby (security, closeness, sleep, relief from tummy problems) Back when I had Alfie (all of three and a half years […]

Review: Rose and Rebellion Baby Carrier
I love baby-wearing and have a couple of slings and baby carriers which I use regularly to carry my 20 month old daughter around, so I was really pleased to be able to try the Rose and Rebellion carrier. Concept: This is a soft, structured carrier which can be used to carry babies from 3 […]
BG Guide to…Baby Wearing – Where to buy a Sling
The first time I saw a baby carried in a sling I knew I wanted to carry my own baby like that. There seemed to be something so intimate and close about the method which you don’t get with a pram. When I was nearing the end of my pregnancy and on the hunt for […]
Review: Scootababy Baby Carrier
I am a huge fan of baby-wearing and used to carry my daughter around in a sling all the time when she was a baby. However, as she got bigger and more wriggly, I found my original ring-sling and wraparound slings just too uncomfortable. I thought that our babywearing days were over, but then I […]
Review: Sleepy Nico Soft Structured Baby Carrier
This post was contributed by Erica our newest product reviewer – welcome! I love the idea of baby wearing and I’m the owner of 4 different slings/baby carriers to prove it. Somehow the perfect sling has so far alluded me, so I was keen to try out the Sleepy Nico carrier. For the first 6-8 […]
The Scootababy Carrier
Natalie writes I’m always curious when a new baby carrier comes on to the market and the Scootababy Carrier is the latest import from the US to make a wave over here. So what does this carrier do? It’s a hands-free carrier with a lightly padded, shaped seat suitable for babies from 5 months through […]
Red Castle Sport Baby Carrier
Natalie writes… I’ve been looking at a lot of baby carriers recently and will be checking out this new baby carrier from Red Castle which seems to have adopted some of the maneuverability more associated with slings. The Red Castle Sport (R) Baby Carrier adapts and adjusts as your baby grows, adapting to your little […]
Review: SnugBaby MeiTei Carrier
I have become an unexpected fan of ‘baby wearing’. I had all but given up on it after feeling the strain from my Baby Bjorn but now, both the boyf and I are regularly using our sling (a Baby Bisou). So I was naturally quite excited to try out a few slings over the past few weeks, with a particular interest in the SnugBaby because it’s in the Mei Tei Style. SnugBaby is run by Claire, fab contributor to Bambino Goodies and mum to two.
Testers: Moi, 5ft 3, 24lb something bambino, plus Mandy, 5ft 7, 17lb baby. Mandy walks everyday for at least an hour with her two dogs and baby (sta-mi-na!). Both babies are very active. I did try to get the boyf to put it on but he point blank refused moaning about looking like a girl…
Review: Belle Baby Carrier
I am a big fan of baby wearing and have several slings already. Imagine my delight when I was asked to try out a soft baby carrier! Belle Baby Carriers have been designed by two outdoor enthusiast Papas from Colorado. They are suitable from 10lb – 25lb and are a front only carrier which can […]
Review: Baby Bisou
There are 3 positions: Pouch (for younger babies), Backpack, or Kangeroo carry It’s 100% breathable cotton and machine washable You can breastfeed in it Can be used on women with waist 24″ to 44″ waists Suitable from 3 months to 40lbs Appearance: They look fantastic and unusual with a really great selection of prints…. Baby Bisou’s (excluding backpack mode) can only be used with your baby facing you as they feel it is better for reducing pressure on your babies bones and also promotes eye contact and enabling them to take cues from you , say about strange sounds that they may hear.
Baby Bisou
I have come across what can only be described as a super sexy, stylish yet practical number from Baby Bisou, a relatively new American brand.
Ergo New Generation Baby Carrier
I own a Baby Bjorn Active which I loved for the few months that I was able to use it but the bambino just feels too heavy now. Baby carriers are great but for the petite amongst us, it can be quite difficult to avoid feeling some pain. I keep seeing Keri Russell (used to […]
My Baby Travel Essentials
I’m a week over my due date so I have time to blog… These were my chosen baby travel essentials and with any luck, they’ll be getting some use in a few days! Pushchair – Strawberry Quinny Buzz 2007 There are a lot of things to like about this pushchair, despite the fact that it […]
Bundlebean waterproof footmuff
How great is this idea from Bundlebean? The GO is a universal waterproof footmuff , £29.99, that fits all buggies, bike seats, rear facing car seats and front style baby carriers. But the clever bit about it is that it also opens out flat, so can be used as picnic blanket or play mat. Ingenious, no? We’re […]

Following on from the first part of my Sands Resort post I want to tell you about the facilities and activities. You could easily spend days at a time not venturing much further than the hotel grounds as they have such a great range of facilities for both children and adults. Before we’d even set […]
Review: GypsyMama Stretch Wraps
Kat, Lucy, and myself are all ‘baby wearers’, with myself and Kat owning a few each. Just after Nia was born, Bebe Cannelle sent a stretch wrap made by small US mum run company, GypsyMama to try out, however it took me longer to recover from SPD than I’d expected so Lucy tried it out […]
Review: BabaSling
Elli writes…Â When I first peeked into the world of baby-wearing, I remember feeling totally bamboozled by choice. I knew the right thing to do was to go to a baby carrier specialist shop and try some on to find out what would suit me, but something held me back… I’m not proud to admit that […]
Red Castle Tikamak
Natalie writes… I’ve been having a look at this new baby sling from Red Castle which has been inspired by more traditional styles of baby wearing such as Mei Tei carriers. It’s multi-positional and adjustable so you can carry your bambino in the Koala position, lying down, sitting on your hop or facing forwards. You […]
Summer Sling Show
Claire writes…. There’s been a number of reviews of baby carriers here on Bambino Goodies recently. Baby wearing is definitely on the rise, with more and more people finding out about the benefits – whether they want to feel closer to their baby, or are just fed up with struggling to get around with a […]
Bambino Goodies Weekly Roundup
Natalie writes… It’s been a week of flying by the seat of my finest pants but nonetheless thoroughly enjoyable! I ‘popped’ into Zara Home on Regent’s Street last night before going for a drink, and the sale is UNBELIEVABLE! I got almost £300 worth of stuff for about £120… Remember everyone, if the boyf asks, […]
