The boyf actually spotted one of these Didicar’s when we were in Bentalls in Kingston Upon Thames the day before the bambino’s 2nd birthday and only for the fact that she would have had to wait 6 months before she could use it, did his very close to the surface inner child resist the urge to purchase.
The Didicar is named after the inventor’s pet pig Didi who escaped his pen and whilst being chased jumped onto a cart used for moving hay, they realised he could propel the cart forward with his frantic side to side movements. Cue the invention which is basically your child’s energy plus physics – moving the steering wheel from left to right moves the cart forward. There’s no batteries, peddles or any fancy stuff to get this going. The steering wheel causes the two driving wheels to find pushing power against each other and if it’s steered 180 degrees, it’ll move backwards.
Suitable from 30 months well into adulthood, it can take up to 220lbs (100kg weight). Muchos fun!
