Natalie writes…I grumpily padded downstairs on Saturday morning to answer the door to the postman but my mood quickly changed when I opened up the package and set eyes on a pair of these Babytex booties which are sold by Sweet Nursing.
The bambino’s pair are in a delicious shade of orangey yellow with orange felt lovehearts handstitched on top, and are absolutely divine! Hand knitted from 100% wool in sizes from birth through to six years, the bambino has been in them all weekend.
All pairs bar the 0-3’s have non slip soles which due to the distinctive, contrasting dots on each pair which look like they’ve been dabbed on with a paint brush, only add to the cool factor! Rest assured – the bambino had been on various floors in them and still been able to chase after ‘daddddddy’.
I love them and they can be worn with the ankle folded down which also helps with fit if they’re a bit big. Naturally…these are indoor, not outdoor shoes – we carried her from the car and then let her run wild in the shops in them!
They can be machine washed on gentle and they recommend stuffing them with paper towels so that they don’t lose their shape.
The fantastic thing is that each pair is made to order and so you can choose your size, felt shape (star, heart, or flower) and colour (9 colours), and then wool colour (20 colours including black!). Price wise, they’re normally £18.97 with £3 delivery and it takes about a week.
However… they’re currently 25% off and reduced to £14.23 a pair! We (OK, I’ve) decided that ‘baby 2’ will have to have a pair or two of these too!
