Natalie writes…The boyf and I are big fans of Swedish brands and a relatively new love has been Polarn O.Pyret also known as PO.P, which is (unfortunately) only available offline in its own stores in shopping centres (we found them in the Bentalls Centre in Kingston Upon Thames and I know they have a store in Brent Cross) and in department stores like House of Fraser.
High quality, really affordable, on trend, yet classic baby and childrenswear, it’s actually hard to believe that this taste of Sweden is just on the high street, but oh it does make trips into town much more fun!
They have an extensive range of clothing from 2 months through to 11 years with lots of basics in funky brights and patterns with a lot of red, grey and navy appearing across the collection. The wonderful thing is that even though girls girls (as always) fair really well, PO.P have a really great boys range too.
We got a really cool pair of red ‘booties’ made from extreme weather proof fabric with a velcro fastening (not pictured as couldn’t find a pic on the PO.P site but for an idea of what I mean check out these ones by Barts – ours have a rounder toe and and the PO.P label is on the velcro fastening) and we have had soooo many people ask about them as they’re perfect for when we’re out and about with her in the pushchair or keeping her tootsies warm in the house. They were £11.50. Bargain!
She opened her Christmas gifts in the loveheart suit (top left – they do one without feet) which was £16.99 and will last for ages as there’s plenty of room in the legs, even for a tall ‘un like the bambino. Everything is an assault on a shopaholics senses! I wanted to spend a fortune in there immediately but the boyf acted as a blocker and did the buying himself…
They have 30% off in stores so hotfoot it there now. I have it earmarked for a sneaky jaunt there next week and ‘baby 2’ shall definitely be starting life in this gear.
You can see most of the collection at the Polarn O.Pyret site where you can also find your nearest stockist.
