Hooded towels are one of those surprising things that you may spend a little more brainpower than you’d have imagined. They’re the only type of towel we use (we love Habitat’s ponchos which we pick up in the sale) and only yesterday Kat was waxing lyrical about Cuddledry’s SPF towels. I checked out Brit company Morrck’s latest addition to their collection of snug wraps for babies and children – the Splasha beach wrap.
Even though I wish they were bolder (you know me colour and print fiend), for super tall Saria now 3 but looking at least 4, the Splasha beach wrap fits her really well with plenty of room, but for us, it’s extra great because the little madam doesn’t like the poncho disturbing that enormous head of ‘fro. It fastens at the side and on the shoulder and wet and cold hands can quickly go into the pockets, and it’s really snug. It takes a couple of washes for them the Splasha to bulk out a bit in terms of feel and ours has become a firm staple in the towel rotation.
Available in sizes for 1-3, 3-5, and 5-7, they’re 19.95 each
