If cats would buy whiskers, then babies would surely buy Polarn o Pyret. Stretchy, stripy, colourful, comfortable and Swedish: this is my baby clothes heaven.
Natalie wrote about Polarn o Pyret or PO.P a little while back. Their spring collection hit my doormat earlier this week in the form of the new season brochure.
My pick of the bunch is this ‘cheerful babygrow’, as it’s called in the catalogue, with feet but no sleeves. I suppose it’s not unlike a grobag with legs. It’s the sort of thing that I wish it was acceptable for an adult to wear… £16 in sizes newborn to 18 months (the online store only lists up to 6 months, but the brochure says otherwise).
It will be a while before my little one will fit into these, but I can’t help but get excited about coloured jeans. The new stretch twill trousers come in five bright hues – pea green or candy pink have to win the colour wars. They start at 2 years, £25.
Another colourful twist on a PO.P classic, striped tshirts now come in new clashing colour combinations including turquoise on yellow and yellow on pink. £16 each, size 2 years and up.
Three dresses to impress: a tunic with floral border (£16, 4-6 months up to 1.5-2 years), a floral dress (£21, in the same sizes) and a check dress (£25, two years and up).
There’s lots more to view online. PO.P are still only selling on the high street, however their new store display site launched yesterday with full stock listings so you can write your shopping list before heading out or even call ahead to make sure they have what you’re looking for.
