There are few things nicer than opening a package and being engulfed by fruity fragrance, when I opened a selection of samples from Maison Boo’s Baby Boo range this was exactly my experience. We were sent a selection of the gorgeous Baby Boo products as well as some stretch mark oil for our pregnant buddy to try out.
Maison Boo was born after its founder realised the chemicals in everyday baby toiletries were causing his daughter’s eczema to flair up. Finding sourcing alternatives tricky his wife suggested he create his own and Maison Boo came into existence. All Maison Boo products are free from parabens, SLS, SLES, petrochemicals, synthetic fragrance, artificial colours and animal testing. Products are made on a farm in Staffordshire and are registered by the Vegan Society as well as being certified organic.
In theory all of this sounds wonderful but how do they measure up in practice? There was a huge amount of excitement when I told the kids they would be trying out some Strawberry Body Wash, just one sniff and they were sold. Despite Mr Kat’s conviction that the delicious smell would encourage them to eat soap (I know, I know) they have been content with washing in it. Monty has had dry patches of skin on his back for absolutely yonks and these have seen definite improvement since using the Baby Boo products, that may not be a scientific test but this Mama is very happy.` The Lavender Shampoo was yet another gorgeous scent and very mild to use. Our pregnant tester was very pleased with the stretch mark oil and reports that a little goes a long way without leaving a greasy residue. Mr Kat has adopted the Full Body Lotion as his own and finds it very soothing on his delicate hands (snigger). All in all we loved the products and would definitely buy them in the future.
All available from Maison Boo.
