As you know, the BG kids can’t get enough of arts and crafts, but, we do admit, that sometimes and it seems like a major hassle when the kids want to get the paints out and the mess is a challenge. I have to say that Little Brian Paint Sticks have revolutionised our crafternoons. Alfie and Kitty have been experimenting with the Classic, Metallic and Neon sticks and they have been a huge hit with all of us. The range of colours is fantastic and they are super-easy to use – chunky enough for toddlers to grasp, they twist up and down like glue sticks and can be drawn straight onto paper, so no need for the mess associated with brushes, palettes and mixing.
On paper, as you can see from Kitty and Alfie’s paintings of the West Pier, the colours are just as vibrant and the metallic shades looked amazingly iridescent. They also dry REALLY quickly, which is a huge bonus – I get so fed up of soggy paintings covering the kitchen table. Prices start from £4.95 for a pack of six, so they’re well priced as gifts as well.
Little Brian kindly sent us packs of paint sticks to test, but, as always, our opinions and words are our own.
