I briefly mentioned La Loi leggings in my post about cool online boutique Father a while back, but I really feel they deserve their own post. The brainchild of ex i-D art director Kate Law, born out of her frustration at the plethora of girlie leggings, La Loi is a small but extremely creative collection featuring photographic prints, firmly aimed at boys. I know opinion is divided on leggings for boys, but I love them – why should they have to suffer in uncomfortable fiddly trousers while girls get to luxuriate in soft, simple shapes? To be fair, these are not your ordinary run-of-the-mill leggings and will probably be saved for parties and special occasions, particularly as they are priced at around the £40 mark. I know Alfie would adore the Cosmos pair – I’d team them with hi-tops and a plain hoodie for maximum hip factor.
