Jen, who blogs at The Madhouse, is always full of ideas for art and craft on a thrifty budget. When I saw she had posted pictures of her recently revamped kitchen art corner I knew you would love it too. As we have come to expect from Jen, she manages to pack heaps in on a budget to create a place for her two boys to create while she is cooking. I can see this working well next to a chimney breast or anywhere you have the space for a small table.
I’m sure you’ll recognise the Ikea Svala table which Jen has painted with blue chalkboard paint to give it an extra dimension. I can’t see the chairs on their website but these funky Kritter chairs can be made to match the chalkboard paint. The wall storage comes from Ikea’s kitchen department yet seems made for the purpose of keeping pens and supplies neat. She has even managed to suspend a large roll of paper for the boys to help themselves.
A perfect corner for creative endeavours, thank you for sharing Jen!
