In another addition to our Hot Toy List for Christmas 2008, we’re focusing on two hot scooter rides. The scooter around at the moment is still the Mini Micro T-Bar Scooter which can be used from as young as 2 years old according to Mini Micro. Used by the children of celebs like Liam Gallagher and Claudia Schiffer, I first featured these scooters back in April when a friend highly recommended them after trying out several scooters.

Designed with the help of medical experts, they give your bambino the rather cool experience of “surfing the pavement” and develop balance, coordination, and motor skills. The t-bar steering column teaches them how to balance their body weight and steer with minimal effort. The Mini Micro T-Bar Scooter is available from John Lewis for £39.99 including delivery.

Our other hottie is the Trottinette Wooden Scooter by French toymaker, Vilac. This is totally different to the Mini Micro and is the type of scooter when you’re hankering for toys that look just like how they used to make ’em. Suitable from 2-5 years, this combines a natural wood steering handle with a lacquered red foot plate, and four primary coloured wheels. The Trottinette Wooden Scooter by Vilac £44.99 from Revilo Toys.

Check out all of the other toys that we’ve featured in our Hot Christmas Toy List 2008
