I couldn’t resist a quick browse when super-spy Kat emailed a link to Swedish shopping site Lindex. Many oohs, aahs and a hefty shopping cart later and I was hooked (= my credit card had taken a battering). My parcel of goodies arrived last week and I was so pleased with the quality I knew it was one to share.
I played it safe with race car pyjamas, £14.95, above – gorgeous bright green and oh-so-soft – Alfie loves them, a five-pack of socks (each with Name: and a space on the inner cuff), an adorable blue and white organic cotton tee with anchor motifs (about as close as I’ll get to a summer hanging out on yachts) and two long-sleeved stripy tops and a pair of jogging bottoms – on 3 for 2 at the moment, but there are many delights on the site, particularly for babies. I’m loving the apple and pear vests (also on 3 for 2), below, £7.95 – very Katvig-y!
This velour stripy overall is also mega-cute and at £14.95 a fraction of the price of similar items by some big Scandi brands. I am a fan of babies in dungarees – Alfie had an Ej Sikke Lej pair I put him in until they virtually wore out.
Other standouts are the outfits (dresses and mis-matching leggings) for girls, top, £17.95, the cool coats and the accessories – the moccasins are a bargain at £7.95 – how cute are these Minnie Mouse wannabes, below? In conclusion, I’d place Lindex between H&M and the designer Scandi brands. Like H&M, there is a lot of stuff with slogans and characters (although they are Moomins, so that’s OK by us!) and a few dodgy pastels, but these sit alongside several real gems. International shipping is £7, which I think is pretty reasonable.
