Sometimes finding a new baby store is a seriously exciting moment and finding Nubie was just one of those moments. I can’t even repeat what Natalie said when I sent her the link but needless to say she had to hide the credit card… Nubie is packed with well selected, high design baby and children’s products. It is a serious test of my spending will power and I am sure you will be tempted too! Here are three hot picks to start you off:
The MyPetLamp Dachsund Light by Offi is so adorable. It is made from a non-toxic plastic and fitted with a low voltage light bulb. The whole body lights up to create a soft glow in your child’s room. It comes in white, pink, blue and orange. I can totally see this in our nursery and think it would make a gentle night light for night time feeds. Measures: 51.25 x 15 x 33.75 cm. £52.
ToddlerGeek actually chose this backpack from Little RatPacks. Evidently annoyed that I was clicking not playing she was keen to take a look and instantly in love with this Rhodesian Ridgeback puppy backpack. His name is Milo and he has his own dog tag. The back pack is made from vinyl and the design is screen printed on. The straps are adjustable and it is the perfect size for toting toys. Measures: 22.5 x 22.5 x 7.5 cm. £35.
We have raved about Offi furniture here before and with good reason. New York architect Robert Gil uses simple shapes and lines to create modern toddler furniture. The Doodle Desk is a fabulous creation no doubt inspired by American school desks. It is a kid sized chair with a wrap around desk on one side. It has a drawer underneath to store doodling materials. It reminds me of the ‘artist’s corner’ I created when I was five. Measures: 55 x 62.5 x 52.5 cm. £180.
