Top Drawer trade show kicked off the new product season last week and although I couldn’t attend I have been watching the blogs carefully for exciting new products. What has caught my eye the most are the new greetings cards on the market. Bowie Style of Print & Pattern always provides unrivalled coverage and my three hot finds were all spotted there. A running theme I am seeing is the continued return of the lion and elephant as they seem to pop up in every range.
First up are Rosehip Cards (above) who have caught my eye at previous shows for their gorgeous Scandinavian style Christmas wrap and cards. The launched the Little Rosehip range which is made up of notecards, greetings cards, gift tags and wrapping paper. I’m not the only one who was loving this new range as they scooped the prize for ‘best new product in stationary and greetings’.
Langom were showing a range of cards from different illustrators my absolute favourite of which are by Ingela P Arrhenius. They have a fun retro vibe to them and would be the perfect accompaniment to her nesting dolls.
My last pick is OwaBoo who not only make wonderfully patterned cards but also have both funky number cards as well as cool new baby cards – no mean feat. I would love to see some of their repeat designs on children’s clothing as they are giving me a strong Scandi vibe.
As they don’t sell direct to the public so we will be keeping our eyes peeled for stockists and hope that they turn up in some of our favourite shops *hint hint*.
