I do love a multifunctional children’s product and throw in clean design with bold accents and you’ve got me. The DotPot by Belgian brand Dot.Baby is a potty, that becomes a toilet trainer, that can also be used as a stool and even as storage when it’s potty training days are over.
It features a removable inner potty (this means you can breathe out if like me you balked at storing stuff inside something your child weed in), a non-slip toilet seat and is BPA and Phthalate free so need to fear their botty’s coming into contact with any plastic nasties. The stool itself can carry up to 40kg and the step part has anti-slip. With all of this going on, it’s no wonder that it’s winner of the prestigious Red Dot Design Award 2010.
Available in red, orange, blue, grey, and lime, the DotPot is £34.90 at cool spot Bebemoda.
As an alternative, check out Boon’s Potty Bench which we’ve used to potty train both of our girls and is loved by petite visitors. When we’re out and about, we’ve been using My Carry Potty with Nia (just turned 3), although if I didn’t have this already, I would definitely have tried out the Potette Plus travel potty which a friend of mine has been using with her twins.
