South Ken Kids Festival is a literary extravaganza for children at Institut français in London. Held over four days there are a plethora of events and workshops featuring the biggest names in children’s literature.
There will be drawing duels, workshops, talks, film, theatre and the opportunity to meet the authors and illustrators at book signings. The line up reads like a who’s who of my bookcase with Axel Axel Scheffler, Polly dunbar, Lauren Child, Marc Boutavant and Quentin Blake to name a few.
There is a mix of free and paid tickets and the majority are suitable for children aged 3+ with other session for children 7/8+. Group discounts are available if you fancy going with a gang and even if you’re not in the Capital it would be a fantastic stop off as part of a trip to London’s museums.
Tipped off by our ear-to-the-ground theatre reviewer Eve – I wish she was my Mum….
