I’ve yet to meet a child who doesn’t love Beatrix Potter’s whimsical animal tales. To celebrate Potter’s 150th anniversary, Penguin have released five special editions of the most popular stories with covers created by British and Irish designers. Henry Holland takes on Jemima Puddleduck, Preen bring their signature style to Squirrel Nutkin, Cats Brothers bring a punk vibe to Peter Rabbit, The Rodnik Band go all Mondrian on Tom Kitten and, my favourite, Orla Kiely’s repeat pattern of hedgehogs for Mrs Tiggy-winkle. Such a fab gift (Kitty will be getting the Orla Kiely one for her first day of school in Hedgehogs class), they cost £6.99 each.
