As a Brighton dweller, I have a love/hate relationship with seagulls, but I have to admit they do make for stylish decorative motifs (not literally, obviously). I’ve also been spotting (see what I did there) a lot of puffins, penguins and pelicans emblazoning interiors accessories lately. So that got me thinking about a seabird-themed room. Artwork-wise you’re spoiled for choice, but here are my favourites. Bee Things‘ limited-edition prints are gorgeous – if you’re not quick enough to snap up the terns (about £15 plus £7 shipping to the UK), opt for a pelican or puffin.
Over at The Flood Gallery Junior (hot art shopping destination – I think I’ll have to do a dedicated post soon), puffins rule – check out Eleanor Grosch’s adorable duo, £40.
Wallpaper comes courtesy of the always on-trend Minimoderns‘ divine Whitby design (on my wishlist for my bedroom when I get round to decorating), £45 for a 10m roll.
On the ceiling, try this gull mobile by Drift Living, £17.50, Not on the High Street.
Hang a couple of Anorak‘s seagull storage bags on hooks as toy storage – currently on offer for £17.50.
Give the bed that  Happy Feet feel with a gorgeous Isak blanket, £110, Polly & Joe.
The fabulous Lettie Belle has penguin cushions that would match beautifully, but I have a lot of love for this puffin, £25.
And who wouldn’t fall for this little ray of light? Zoolight penguin lamp, £54, Dennis & McGregor.
Add in a little lighthouse chic with Chantal Devenport‘s bunting, £16. You can have it personalised, so it would be great over a bedroom door.
And finally… this little crocheted flappy chap by Anne-Claire Petit is irresistible, £33.50, Bird Kids.
