Hot buy for all the word nerds and/or vintage lovers spotted at Magpie & Hen. It’s a set of vintage vowel teaching cards in original box. A beautiful set of flash cards that are categorised by vowels ‘a, e, i, o, u’. Inside the box is a clear tray that separates the different vowel sounds and each letter is printed on a blue background, along with an object and its name underneath.
The cards have a picture and its associated word on one side, and a larger font of the word on the back along with the vowel letter in bold. The illustrations have a lovely whimsical feel to them, in simplified form and in a basic blue, orange and nude colour palette. Perfect to use, and eye candy for the shelf! A steal at £16. Swoop.
