Victor & Susie is a children’s book about friendship and compassion, illustrated entirely with letters and punctuation marks. As a self-confessed big softie and word geek, Brighten the Corners’ heartwarming tale went straight onto my wish list. Although the 72 pages of recovered paper are sleek enough to sit happily on mum and dad’s art library, the story is simple, colourful and compelling for children – a little girl (Susie) finds Victor, a snail with a broken shell, in her vegetable box and decides to take care of him.
A great gift for the offspring of your graphic design guru friend, Victor & Susie is available at bookshops, or you can buy online for £7, including P&P. Utterly fontastic (sorry)!
