I know a couple of people who are going for the wildlife theme in their kids bedrooms and looking for toy boxes and I found this traditional toy box at Billie Bond Designs, which although is certainly out of their price range, is certainly worth mentioning as I’m still surprised at how much toy boxes can cost!
Whilst I’m sure there are even more expensive toy boxes, this is certainly at the upper end although it is built to last.
You have the choice of many different designs, although the one shown is the wild animals, and each design is hand painted and stencilled with up to 50 layers for the fine colours and definition to show up on the antique pine. The box is then finished off with wax.
Features include anti finger trap gaps, rounded edges (no nasty bashes), locking stay hinge, handle holes for ventilation, and all paints and finishes are non-toxic.
Personalisation can be done on request, so for instance, inside the lid they can inscribe your bambinos name and date of birth. Because they are custom made, it will take approximately 28 days for delivery. Sizes available are 2ft 6in, 3ft or 4ft from Billie Bond Designs, prices start from £370.
