I’m eyeing up possible future chair candidates for the bambino’s bedroom since her Jacinto Chair from Zara Home has taken up residence in our sitting room.
At £250, I’m not sure that the Thorsten Van Elten Kids-Rock will be making it into our home just yet but that won’t stop me from lusting after it.
The Kids-Rock Chair is designed by Alexander Taylor who is part of the cool and eclectic group of designers at Thorsten van Elten, home of cool, design led, British products. It’s handmade with a solid oak frame which has been ecologically sourced, with a rubber seat that has an antibacterial finish. It comes in the scrumptious tomato red pictured and as a measure of how beautifully the chair has been designed, it actually makes the versions in pastel pink, blue, or yellow look rather cool, although there is also the very un-pastel lime green available.
I love the fact that the curve of the seat flows with the curve of the rockers, giving the chair a beautiful synergy.
Dimensions: 43 W X 63 D X 53 H cm
The RRP is £250 but I have found it at Leigh Harmer for £195 but it does take about 3 weeks for delivery.
