Things to do with a Cardboard Box

October 3, 2012. 1 Comment

cardboard box house

Getting all my AW stock in for Little Stomper means we have cardboard boxes everywhere. Lola loves a box, they’re cars, houses, space ships…. whatever takes her fancy. I am loathe to throw them all away so have been hunting for cool things to do with boxes. Here are some of my favourites.

Cardboard Houses – Literally neon duct tape (which you can get on Amazon) and a little imagination. I’m going to create this for Lola when she’s at pre-school one day. Will report back! Spotted at Hello Lucky.

Things to do with a cardboard box

Show Box Guitar  – looks fabulous and who doesn’t like pretending they’re in a rock band *looks at the husband*. Full instructions over at Real Simple.

Ball Maze – Simple but effective. Get the little legged ones to see what will roll and what wont. Full details on A Happy Wanderer.

Robot Costume – An absolute classic. If your kids love dressing up, this is the one for you. It’s crying our for neon duct tape too! Watch the video over at My Disguises

Things to do with a cardboard box

Cardboard Castle – The detailing on this is brilliant. See instructions and some fab photos over at The Busy Budgeting Mama.

Cardboard Box Plane – This is another delight I am adding to the to do list, simple but oh so effective. Two boxes and some tape and you’re good to go BUT we all know we want the googles too, right? I found some on ebay for under £4 with free shipping – it’s for a hat and goggles. A must. This one is from Mini Mocha.

Make a Town – This is another idea that ticks all the boxes, (excuse the pun!). Simple, economical and will provide hours of fun. Spotted at Pickle Bums

Cardboard Box Fairy Garden – Needs a little more effort than some of the others to be as gorgeous as those photographed, but if you have some time, this could be fab. Spotted on Bon Bon Break.

And of course, there’s Nat’s cardboard playhouse too which has had a lot of love over on our Facebook page.

Inspired?
