The Midnight Library by Kazuno Kohara (Pan Macmillan, RRP £11.99) is Kitty’s new favourite story (and it might just be mine too, given that it features two of my favourite things – owls and libraries). It’s the sweet tale of a library that stays open at night for animals and the issues the little librarian and her trio of owl assistants encounter. All accompanied by Kohara’s exquisite illustrations. A beautiful book to share with a little one or gift to someone who loves reading.
