I’m not sure I’d say that The Best Book in the World by Rilla Alexander (Flying Eye Books, RRP £12.99) actually is the best book in the world, but it is pretty good. It’s the tale of a young girl reading a book and follows her adventures as she’s unable to tear herself away from the story. The illustrations are stunning and there’s a great pay-off at the end. Kitty loved looked at the pictures and Alfie enjoyed expanding on the imaginary worlds inside. A lovely way to discover the power of books.
