The clocks have gone back and the heating is on so, in true BG tradition, it’s time to start The Great Winter Coat Hunt. First up, a few for the little legged ones.
Heart Duffle Coat, £20, M&Co. Hot on the high street! This bright red number has a 100% cotton-lined hood, duffle-toggle fastening and it’s machine washable. Available in sizes from newborn to two.
Molo Hector Coat in Army Camouflage, £91, JuicyTots. Cool camo print with blue and orange ribbed hem, chunky zip details and a removable hood.
All of the coats pictured above are Zara Kids they give good coats every year. Pricewise you’re looking between £35 and £55, equating to great value for money.
Parkan Beige Sheepskin Coat , £82, Little Citizens Boutique. Sheepskin-lined and longer length to keep midriffs draught-free. Cosy.
Mini-A-Ture Marty, on sale for £72, Yellow Lolly. A classic, featuring a detachable hood, cord-pull adjustable elastic hem for snow play, thumb-through cuffs for extra warmth and a fleece lining. Waterproof but made from WP5000 breathable fabric.
Faux Fur Hooded Shower Resistant Puffa Jacket, £22, M&S. This shower-resistant jacket looks like a comfortable and practical choice, but the faux fur hood and popping orange add a cool finishing touch. Great price, too.
Soft Shell Jacket, £19.99, H&M. Made in wind- and waterproof, functional fabric, has a detachable fleece-lined hood and the coolest bear print. Available in four colourways.
Quilted Jacket, £22, Boden. Double-breasted with 100% cotton outer and lining. As I’m a huge fan of contrast trim this ticks a lot of boxes. Available in a purple, too.
Charcoal Padded Jacket, £25, Next. Definitely paying homage to Moncler, but at a fraction of the price tag. Looks cosy, comfortable and sure to be warm.
