Sometimes the simplest shapes can have the most incredible amount of character – that’s what embroiderer extraordinaire Terri Leahy somehow pulls off. Her “Best in Show” range of soft toys depicts typical British pets, from hamsters to doggies, and apparently they are inspired, in part, by celebrity culture – which explains, I guess, the names such as ‘Miss Moss’, ‘Starsky’ the rabbit (top), and ‘Lulu’ the cat (bottom). Love that cheeky rabbit tail! At £24 each plus £2 delivery from Bouf, I think these qualify as a fail-safe gift for a baby or young child – easy to clutch and with no loose parts.
