I was really taken by the ethos (encouraging a new generations of electronic engineers and programmers) and branding (too cool for school) of Technology Will Save Us when I first spotted their products at the Mini Maker Faire in Brighton last year. Many of their kits are aimed at older children, but the electro dough pack, £13.50, is a brilliant way to add a new twist and a lot of excitement to play dough with pre-schoolers. Simply make play dough as you normally would, cut out shapes, then follow the ‘recipes’ to create circuits with buzzers and LEDs. Fantastic fun for you and your little one and a really original gift idea.
