Although the weather can’t seem to make it’s mind up at the moment, it’s not long until June when the sun should be shining and we all get our paddling pools out or head to the airport for our summer holidays. With this in mind, I’ve been having a scout around to see what swimwear is on offer for our little ones.
As always, Molo has some fabulous prints in. I am particularly liking the lizard print sunsuit (£40, Children’s Salon) which is also available as shorts and the flamingo swimsuit (£31.95 Juicytots). Both of these have SPF 50+ protection.
Hot on the high street comes from both Next and Zara Kids. Next is bang on trend with the flamingos swimsuit (£12.50). – we’re seeing flamingos everywhere this season – and they also have the super-cool car print stretch shorts (£5). The red striped swimsuit and blue floral swimsuit are both hot buys from Zara at £9.99 and £14.99 respectively. And for the little lads there are the floral shorts and the red palm tree shorts (£9.99 each).
I’ve got my eye on all of these! The Little Creative Company’s reversible halter neck swimsuit in orange and sand is just gorgeous (£32.00, My Shiny Shop – due to the cut though, it’s more suited to kids who haven’t got ‘prominent’ bottoms), as is the Mimimyne retro romper (£25) which Nat featured a while ago. I spotted the Indikidual Sandy Swimsuit and am in love with the yellow detailing (£18.90, I Dream Elephants). Something different for the beach for sure!
Sunuva have some some fab items, favourites include the Buffalo swim short (£34) and the star nappy pant (£28). Also check out the rest if their offerings as it was hard choosing just two to feature here! If Buffalos aren’t your thing, perhaps you’d prefer the organic cotton photo print horse, tiger or zebra swimsuit available at Shakshuka (£30.00).
And how about this next trio. The shark swim shorts are sure to be loved and are a absolute steal. I love the contrast red detail. (£8, John Lewis), The striped swimming shorts are from Petit Bateau and super cute (£22.76, Smallable) and the star 3/4 length sleeve swimsuit offers 40+ sun protection (£24, Boden).
And last, but by no means least, are these two fabulous swimsuits. The Mini Rodini frill swimsuit is so chic, with its frills front and back. It’s OEKO-TEX standard 100 certified to restrict the use of health and environmental hazardous chemicals.(£25, Monkey McCoy). The vintage inspired red, ivory and navy polka dot swimsuit with a scooped neck and back, navy piping detail and frill detail is also available in a nautical stripe. Gorgeous. (£49, Rachel Riley).
Something for everyone I hope!
