Elli writes…Everyone remembers their ‘bankie’. Mine was pale yellow waffle with a satin trim and now lives in the airing cupboard back at my family home, with the frayed edges to prove how much it was loved.
My little girl likes to sleep with her blankie pinned either side of her face with her fists, achieving total darkness and warmth, even though it looks a little alarming. Her fixation with her blankie has made me more aware of security blankets and the Swankie Blankie caught my eye.
