Kat writes…I saw the fab new shop Roddy & Ginger over on Irene Hoofs’ blog B:Kids. My shopping senses went into over drive as I saw the deliciously retro illustrations in muted colours. Roddy & Ginger is the work of Virginia Armstrong, a British graphic designer.
My absolute favourite has to be this adorable Cotton Baby Vest. Each vest is hand printed with either a baby bird in hot pink, baby bird in soft green or Roddy the Owl in sage green (pictured). The designs are simple and elegant making them the perfect gift for a stylish new baby. They come in sizes 0 – 6 and 6 – 12 months. They are only £5 plus postage making them a bargain baby buy.
I’m also loving the Original Screen Prints which would look equally at home in either a child’s or an adult’s space. The colouring and shapes remind me of 1960s ceramic designs. There are four designs which is each from an edition of 50. The sizes vary depending on the print. Again, they are very affordable at £20 plus postage.
