Coming soon to the UK is Stokke’s new highchair, Stokke Steps. Like the legendary Tripp Trapp (a firm favourite with us BG mamas), it grows with your child. The modular system offers a recliner, highchair and later, a chair that can be used throughout childhood, but unlike the Tripp Trap it doesn’t last a lifetime. It certainly looks good, I like the design a lot and the addition of the tray (which is removable) will tick some parents boxes. The recliner, at a glance, has the look of the Bounce N Sleep bouncer but on closer inspection looks much improved to have four adjustable positions, which I felt was missing from my Bounce N Sleep.
It’s due to be released in the UK in February and I’ve seen no UK pricing as yet. However, a french blogger who was at the launch reports the price to be €179 for the Stokke Steps chair, €169 for the recliner and €89 for the baby set. We will update once we know more but, until then, keep an eye on the Stokke news pages.Â
What do you think – finally a match for the Tripp Trapp?
