For sensational pre-walker and early walker shoes in soft, beautiful, supple leather shoes, look no further than Tip Toey Joey who I’ve raved about a few times in the almost two years since I laid my hands on them and came over all swoonish. Whilst I’m nervous about the trail of destruction she’ll no doubt leave in her wake, I’m eager for just turned 9 months baby Nia to start cruising!
Hot online boutique Monsters & Munchkins are stocking them now with some fabulous pairs (loving the electric blue t-bars) selected from the range, although it is just the tip of the iceberg as there is actually a huge array of beautiful colours and styles – check out the Tip Toey Joey site.
There’s unisex (great for passing down), girls, and boys pairs, and they feature elasticated backs so that they don’t slip off, have flexible rubber soles for help with their feet development and leather insoles.
There’s Mary Jane, t-bar, boots, and demi-trainers available in sizes from 6-24 months – Tip Toey Joey are really popular in the US and Australia for instance, but we English have not embraced soft sole shoes on very mobile babies apparently because we’re ‘Clarks’ conditioned! All of the pairs shown are from Monsters & Munchkins for £27.
Other stockists include Bird, Lottie & Thomas (only seem to have sizes 3-6 months)
