The problem with children’s beanbags is that they tend to be deeply unattractive and/or plastered with television characters. But they seem to be having something of a makeover, courtesy of companies like Anorak (see Nat’s post last week) and German company Sitting Bull, who have a Mini Bull range for small people. The beanbag chair comes in a myriad of primary shades, plus a few prints. My favourite is the Happy Zoo pattern, above, which comprises multicoloured animal silhouettes on a white background. ‘White for children? Are you mad?’ I hear you say, but fortunately Mini Bulls are wipe-clean and water-repellent, so will take on anything you (or rather your little one) can throw at them. €130 from Design Delicatessen.
