I had the weirdest feeling when Bambino Goodies fave Jane Foster posted a jumble sale find on her blog. Jane collects toys from the sixties and seventies and blow me down if she hadn’t found the very Galt pelmanism set my brother and I used to play with as kiddoes.
It is so odd coming across something of which you have such sharp memories, but have not seen for nigh on 30 years, let me tell you – perhaps more so when it is visual? With that in mind, I am desperate to buy the Marimekko memory game for my daughter.
It’s not that I want her to become a fashion designer when she grows up*…It’s that if these bold designs could burn their way into her synapses in the same way that the Galt beefeater, ship and owl did into mine, I think I’d be doing her a great favour.
*OK, it is.
Images nabbed from Ironiroiro, with great thanks.
