If you’re not aware of Professor Astro Cat, then a) you haven’t been paying enough attention and b) I highly recommend you head to your nearest bookstore to snap up both Frontiers of Space and Atomic Adventure and check out the excellent Solar System app. This week, there’s also a new book to add to the collection – Professor Astro Cat’s Intergalactic Activity Book by Ben Newman and Zelda Turner (Flying Eye Books, RRP £9.99). It’s jam-packed with facts and fun stuff to entertain future physicists: What would you pack to survive crash landing on a distant planet? Can you create a new constellation? What’s the science behind chocolate? All accompanied by Newman’s fab illustrations of the feline super-geek. I’m taking a copy on holiday – it’s sure to keep amateur astrophysicist Alfie amused on the flight and beyond.
