I’ve been a fan of OXO (yes the peeps behind Good Grips kitchen gear not the gravy cubes) for years (note if you’re on hols in the US you can pick up some great bargains) and have been majorly impressed with their OXO Tot range of well designed goodies for babies and toddlers.
One of their latest designs is the OXO Tot Sprout highchair, which is a contemporary uplift of a traditional style of highchair. Designed to last from six months to five years, it’s a highchair until they’re three with two seat heights, 5 point harness, removable adjustable depth tray etc and then it becomes a ‘youth chair’ (remove the crotch post, tray and harness) until they’re five.
The frame is made from elegant birch plywood that won’t expand and distort in a kitchen environment and I’m loving the colourways especially orange. Touches that will be appreciated is that there’s tool free adjustment for the height, footrest and seat depth and the wipeable chair and cushion are BPA, PVC and phthalate free. The Sprout has even picked up a prestigious Red Dot product design award.
