Try as we might to run away from it, the big C / The Holidays is on the way and this means hearing about lots of toy lists and what the ‘big thing’ is to buy this year. We know we’re not alone in our love of well designed toys and games that don’t have to be mainstream, battery operated or featuring TV characters. We love stuff that we enjoyed as children (or would happily play with now), that has a decent playful lifespan and will fire up imaginations and possibly be remembered when they’re much older and feeling nostalgic like we do.
This year we’ve decided that from early November until the week before Christmas, we’re going to be running a This Kid Loves… feature where BG (Bambino Goodies) kids from babies up to seven will be sharing their favourite toys, what they’d like ( or what their parents have their eye on if they’re not old enough to say for themselves) for Christmas (or the appropriate holiday they celebrate), what they love about the festive season etc.
We’ll be doing this in conjunction with three superb online destinations for toys and gifts – Toyella, Molly-Meg and The Kid Who. They will be gifting each participant with an age-appropriate delight that we’ve chosen. We put a lot of thought into who we wanted to work with because it’s important to work with big kids who take great pleasure in being independent retailers that buck the trend.
So, how do you get your child involved?
We’re taking submissions until midnight November 7th and for now, all they need to answer is one of the following:
- What they’d love to get for Christmas.
- Their favourite toy.
- What they love about Christmas.
We need their name and age. If selected for the feature, they will need a photo (head shot) is fine, they won’t need to have their full name, plus their location (town/city or county). Send in your entry to team AT bambinogoodies DOT co DOT uk.
Thanks to Toyella, Molly-Meg and The Kid Who for helping us make this feature happen.
