We do love a good craft session and subscription craft kits are a great way to get inspired. Molly and the Wolf is a rather fabulous children’s store, selling goodies from the likes of BG faves Tootsa MacGinty, Little Red Stuga, Bonnie Baby, Love Frankie, Oeuf and Waddler. They also have Wolf’s Craft Club where, for £15 per month, your little one can create something utterly brilliant. For your money you get the craft materials and instructions, plus a gorgeous wooden membership card, then a special wolf badge when you send a photo of your finished project. This month’s is a shadow puppet theatre kit, containing fabric for curtains, baking parchment for the screen, character templates to cut out and sticks to mount them on and a set of LEDs to illuminate your theatre sign. The box the kit comes in becomes the theatre, so you’re doing your bit for recycling as well. Alfie really enjoyed making his theatre (although I was enlisted for the more intricate cutting out) and we’ve put on a few productions and plan to create our own puppets. It may be slightly more expensive than other craft subscriptions, but I have to say that everything in the box was brilliant quality and the finished theatre looks (we think – see above) amazing, so it’s well worth it. Can’t wait to see what next month’s project is.
