Brrr – it’s getting chilly out there, so time to dig out the blankets. If yours are looking a little moth-eaten or dusty, invest in a luxe new 100% lambswool one from Melin Tregwynt. Celebrating its centenary this year, the company is based in Wales and all blankets are handwoven in the original Pembrokeshire mill, combining traditional techniques with contemporary designs. There is a myriad to choose from, in a rainbow of colours, but I’m particularly loving the Mondo spot pattern (Kitty was given an orange one when she was born) and the multistripes (above). Pram blankets (91 x 61cm), from £36, and cot blankets (91 x 122cm), from £59. There are also a few limited-edition baby and child clothing items – think booties, mittens, animals and slippers and, of course, while you’re there, you might want to treat yourself to a throw to cwtch* up with on cold winter nights.
