I am slowly realising that I need to get ready for a hospital stay when this baby arrives and top of my to buy list are some maternity pyjamas. With my first two children I had a maternity nightdress which is possibly the most revealing thing I have worn in public (why are they so short?) and this time I plan to be prepared with a pair of soft and snuggly pyjamas which will double up nicely on those post-natal days when I don’t get dressed *ahem*.
Top row, left to right:
I love these wide leg butterfly print pyjama trousers by HOTmilk at £29 from Cecily Plum. They don’t have the matching top in stock but several gorgeous alternatives are available. Sizes: small – extra large.
I think this is the pair I’m going to click on. The stripey pyjama trousers and pyjama top are £25 and £18 respectively from Mamas and Papas. It may be more than I would like to spend (when did PJs get so pricey?) but they look soft, stretchy and oh so comfy. Sizes: 8 – 20+
This lilac pyjama set form Melba Maternity comes in at £35 and definitely the kind of thing an elegant Mama (yes, me) would be wearing. Sizes: 8/10 – 16/18.
Bottom row, left to right:
I may be weaning myself off the old Cath Kidston but I still can’t resist a cabbage rose. This floral pyjama set for £26 from Mothercare has the promise of spring with its flowery cotton. Sizes: 8 – 20.
This pair of blue check pyjamas for £24 from Next are simple and practical. They also have the added bonus of being best for plus size maternity as their sizes run from an 8 to a 22.
I am loving the lace trim detail on these pyjamas from Crave I think they would look gorgeous in those first baby and Mama pictures. £45, sizes: 8 – 20.
One extra hot buy: Topshop have some red check maternity pyjamas in their sale.
