When I was little I truly believed fairies used walnut shells as boats. I mean, why wouldn’t they? So seeing this image over at Hip Hip Hooray was a serious dose of nostalgia. They’re so easy to make – literally shells, tooth picks and some washi tape (£2 a roll from Big Birds Boutique), and a little candle wax to mount the sails in place. You can also make paper sails just as easily. Like these ones from Domestic Candy:
