One for all the flower children out there, cooler-than-cool French company Ma Mamie Hippie have produced these, frankly, amazing, amplifier music boxes. They come in either Marshall or Gibson designs and play sixties/seventies standards – think Bob Dylan’s Blowin’ in the Wind, The Beatles’ Yellow Submarine and The Doors Light My Fire.
The Gibson version comes in seven colours, from neutral beige to in-your-face fluoro orange and costs €43, while the Marshall is available in six shades, from chocolate to neon turquoise, at the slightly higher price of €50 from haven of Gallic cool Pouic Land (p&p to the UK is €16.50 for these items).
There’s also a rather jolly Citroën 2CV music box, and if you’re not feeling the tunes, there are cushions with the amp designs.
