Lucy’s mentioned funky Brighton kids’ boutique Love Frankie before; I’m also lucky enough to live just up the road, and just like Lucy I’m a big fan of their unfailing way with niche fabrics, bright colours and giant button embellishments. Perfect example, above: this is the Jessie pinafore dress, £30 (they also do lampshades in many of the same fabrics, meaning you can even match your daughter to your decor…or maybe that’s just a little bit too much).
The only trouble is, it can get very expensive living so near such a gorgeous outlet. Lucky for me, there’s now a range of much smaller Love Frankie goods, like this hair flower below, £6. We picked one up the other week and it’s so easy for Tabitha to just ping it on by herself – and hey presto, instant party look. Keeps her hair out of her eyes, too. They come in a range of different colour combos, and if you’re not keen on the flower, there’s a bow tie shape too.
These are so new they’re not on the Love Frankie website yet, but savvy fans are already ordering them through the Facebook page.
