Milla, who recently turned five, is at the age where she is loving reading about creative ideas and attempting them herself. When I heard about Lotta Magazine I hit the order button without a second thought.
Lotta is an ad-free magazine for children aged 5 – 10. It is released four times a year to coincide with the Australian school holidays and provide lots of inspiration for art, craft, games and activities. Each issue is based around a theme bringing all of the activities and crafts together under one umbrella.
I have a copy of the most recent issue which is all about secrets. Spies, superheroes and magicians all have one thing in common: secrets and this issue has a range of fun ideas which children can dip in and out of throughout the holidays.
Opening and reading the magazine is a delight; the typography, design and printing are all exceptional and the Helen Dardik cover illustration immediately excited my children.
Considering it is shipped from Australia I had to wait a mere six days for it to land on my doormat. My only regret is I didn’t order all three issues at once!
Check out Lotta Magazine on their website where you can see a video of each issue, download the templates for crafts, read their blog and order your own copies.
With thanks to Love it Love it Love it for the tip off.
