Happy New Year! It’s been a while, but BG is finally back. And with a new strand for 2022 – Local Label Love.
We moved to a village near Lewes last year, which meant access to lots of lovely new stores, so I tried to shop local as much as possible at Christmas. It made me realise how many fabulous brands are Sussex-based, so I thought I’d give them a bit of love on the blog.
First up is Buddypockets. I’ve featured their fabulous sweatshirts before, but with a new collection out it only seemed right to shout about this small but beautiful brand again. The brainchild of Brighton mamas Cath and Debbie, Buddypockets make super-soft sweatshirts with a large zipped pocket (the clue’s in the name) on the front, perfect for everyday essentials. Designed as a boyfriend (looser) fit, they come in sizes from XS (size 6, but great for ages 9+ oversized), S (women’s 10/12), M (12/14) and L-XL (16/18).
There are three styles available – black with zebra-print jacquard pocket with neon pink zip, lilac with check and neon green, and green, with leopard-print and neon pink – all retailing at £35. Kitty has the green and adores it – it’s so cosy and warm and washes absolutely brilliantly. Would make a great gift for a tween – check out their great photos of the sweatshirts in the wild at buddypockets.com.
