Claire and I recently attended Plusher, a family show with a mix of exhibitors and entertainers, and while we were there, we stumbled across this brilliant new concept Kidcampz, a multi-shape play tent kit that enables children (and big kid parents) to create camps in various shapes and sizes straight out of their imaginations. The founders had cleverly turned their table into a huge camp and as a testament to how good it is, we could not drag our three kids away who were thoroughly enchanted.
There’s around 80 pieces in the kit including poles, connectors (multi and straight), velcro straps/loops that enable you to connect the tent sheet to stuff like door knobs, window fasteners, chairs, tables, and fences, plus ground pegs, and clips. The tent sheet is lightweight, water resistant, fire retardant and suitable for indoor and outdoor use, although it’s not a full-on tent in the sense of what you’d take to go camping to a festival.
We love the flexibility because the limit is really only the imagination and it’s great for budding engineers and architect types. £165 including delivery from Kidcampz. This is on mine and Claire’s Christmas lists (for the kids obviously….).
