When my inbox pinged with a message telling me the ‘Kids Shop’ officially opens on 20 September at The Conran Shop, Chelsea I debated grabbing my tent and camping outside until then so I could be the first to swoooooon! There are going to be more than 650 products that are displayed to encourage play, touch and creativity, including (clockwise from top left) the Pingy Rocking Penguin, £204; sheepskin rocker, £1745; hand-painted paper animal head sculpture/wall light,  £120; Happy Cat Beanbags, £110. The ground floor area has been transformed with bright neon-painted play sheds bedecked with fairy lights and furnished with sheepskin beanbags and tree-house bunks.
