Perfect for the traditionalist whose budget doesn’t stretch to to Silver Cross heights, the Inglesina Classica Pram is a nostalgic ride for your bambino that will certainly turn a few heads on those strolls through the park.
Inglesina have been producing them for over 40 years and the design hasn’t changed. They’re crafted by artisans, it has a chrome plated crossbow chassis, the cot’s made from solid wood and plywood, fine embroidery on the side of the cot, as well as elegant chrome-plated side locks on the shade, and chrome-plated handgrips. It even has a protective organdies curtain!
This isn’t the type of pram that you get on the bus with! By my calculations it weighs about 18.1kg and like all prams of this style, manoeuvrability is not their key feature.
I have heard it’s quite compact when it folds down, which is surprising. You can also by a reversible pushchair seat to go on the chassis.
The RRP is £600 and they’re not the easiest to track down online and I imagine are easier to find in specialist baby stores where you can road test them and get the feel. They’re available in blue, cream, and pink and you can get the blue or cream one for £546.99 at Kiddieshop.
Ideal for: Traditionalists. Great if you want the classic Silver Cross look sans the pricetag. It is very much a beautiful pram in its own right though!
Bang for your style buck: As traditionalist pram style goes, this is a lot of classic style bang for your buck.
Weight range: Heavy, but this comes with the territory!
Don’t forget that you can see other pushchairs and prams we’ve featured in The Pushchair Track.
