What could be more thrilling than the circus? It brings to mind daring performers in decadent costumes, the thrill of watching them fly through the air and the gasps as they land. The circus has an air of mystique and glamour that no other performance can touch. Giffords Circus is a unique experience which brings back to life the tradition of circus with an intimate feel.
Founded by Toti and Nell Gifford in 1999, Giffords Circus has been a roaring success since its first shows at Hay Festival 2000. The troupe is comprised of the most passionate performers who inspire their audiences countrywide. This year’s show is Yasmine – A Musical she was born in a circus, a star by thirteen, she was a goddess but only the horses knew the secrets of her heart. Sounds amazing and we have just booked our tickets to see it in August. We will bring you a full review once we’ve seen it but if you fancy a day at the circus I’d grab tickets quickly as shows invariably sell out.
Tickets are: £18 adults and £12 children (under threes are free if they sit on your lap) it you go to the evening performance you can stay for supper at £25 adults and £12.50 children.
